I am grateful for my paintbrush. This brush represents my ability to create something from nothing, to create something different from something else, to communicate differently, to share to inspire, to guide, to support, and to love. I am grateful for the ability to create.

Even after a degree, a business, a lifetime of work, I still don't know what to do with my craft. I find myself pursuing other passions and considering more school in other fields - all things I am very excited about. But I cannot deny my need to create.

While I am penniless and live up to the "starving artist" title, I will continue to give my time and money to the thing that takes my material goods and gives nothing but, what it seems, spiritual blessings. Art, you are my life and I am grateful.
