Masonite is a sheet of condensed wood thin enough to frame. It is included in the original painting price. Available in standard frame sizes which means you should be able to pick a frame off the shelf for any size under 40 by 40 in. Contact me to discuss custom painting sizes.
A wood panel is a thin panel of wood with a frame around the back big enough to hang without having to frame it. Clean painted edges make for a simple, elegant look that can work in any room and saves you the extra cost of framing your new art piece. Depending on the size of the painting, a wood panel adds an additional cost.
I do my commissions, unless discussed otherwise, in acrylic paint and marker. I start by gessoing my material, either masonite or wood panel, and sanding it until smooth. Then it's ready to paint! Then I switch off with washable marker to outline and narrow in details. I finish my work with a gloss medium to give it a protective shine. Along with the paint, this finish will lock in the marker as well, preventing any bleed or aging.
Send me an email describing the work you would like me to create and we will discuss references, medium, and size.
A 50% deposit is required and due prior to commencement of services.
